Secret Burr Bloodwood, Sapele, & Walnut by Marcel Gillen (RPP)
Secret Burr is a re-release of a puzzle I made very limited copies of in 2002. Unique in that it's difficult in both assembly and disassembly, there are two locks inside the burr that interact much like Cutler's Ball Bearing Burr. Instead of steel bearings, Secret Burr uses small wood rectangles. Precision crafted of fine hardwoods, this puzzle not only looks exotic, but has the trickiness to back up its appearance. This puzzle is shipped assembled. For multiple items, combined shipping is availab...

Building Block
Sixteen serially interlocking pieces! Read Eric's description at https://archive.cubicdissection.com/puzzle.php?id=59There is a very small amount of "slump" in the hands, which I have tried to show in the second picture. This does not affect the solving process.

Sloot 3 by Alfons Eyckmans (RPP)
Another brilliant design by Mr. Eyckmans, "Sloot" means "ditch" in Dutch, a reference to the slots on the sides of this unque puzzle. Taking the six piece board burr to another level, Sloot features a very difficult level 16.6.4 unique solution. The interplay created with asymmetrical stick dimensions, the inner tabs and the outer slot means this puzzle moves entirely unexpected ways! Shipped assembled, disassmbly alone is a formidable task. This puzzle is shipped assembled. For multiple items, co...

Fidget Burr Sapwood by Tim Alkema (3)
Fidget burr was an easy decision to make. A seemingly simple 3x3 cube, it's actually a five-piece interlocking burr with a level 12 solution. Three burr pieces nest inside two identical frame pieces. Disassembly of this puzzle is VERY tricky, with many false paths and dead ends. Fidget Burr is a ton of fun and it turned out very well. The cage pieces are made from Cherry sapwood, and the internal burr pieces are made from Wenge. These puzzles are extras and oddballs that have accumulated in the ...

BioTIC by Andrew Crowell (RPP)
BioTic is a BEAST! 28 total moves and nine rotations are required to solve it. Designed by Andrew Crowell, these fascinating "Turning Interlocking Cubes" take it to the next level. Instead of straightforward linear moves, these designs require rotations during the solution process. Construction is outstanding, with shouldered joinery where side grain gluing is not possible, and detailed bevels which flow around the shouldered joints for a uniform appearance. For multiple items, combined shipping ...

Oskar's Matchboxes Leopardwood/ Walnut by Oskar van Deventer
Oskar's Matchboxes has always been one of my favorite designs. In terms of originality, appearance and overall appeal, very few puzzles come close. The five dissimilar pieces consist of an outer box and inner tray cleverly glued together. The goal is to assemble the pieces so that every tray is contained inside a box. With only two solutions, this is quite tricky!Oskar’s Matchboxes is a very time-consuming puzzle to make, with all pieces constructed using the same shoulder joinery that we used...

Oskar's Paperclips Sapwood by Oskar van Deventer (2)
Another classic by Oskar van Deventer, the Paperclips puzzle is rarely made, and for good reason. The length of the sticks and small surface area for overlap at the edges makes it very difficult to construct. Each corner is reinforced by a shoulder joint, then sanded flush and further reinforced with a full length spline. This is a very time consuming process, but is the only way to ensure the strength and rigidity necessary for this work of art.The result is worth the effort. With two possible ...

Board Burr Rack
Eric says: "The second puzzle in this
update by Perez, Board Burr Rack looks quite simple. Simply slide four
burrs into the rack spaces created by the frame. Easy, right?
Unfortunately the two cubes trapped inside the rack makes that task
substantially more difficult. Each board move affects its neighbors due
to the two unit size of the cube it's interacting with, creating a
shifting maze of confusion. When fully assembled, none of the boards are
able to be completely removed witho...

Elena's Burr
Eric says "Elena's burr is an
interesting variation with a lot of tricky movement. The level 13.7
solution will keep you very very busy. Disassembly alone is a feat, with
lots of dead ends. Reassembly without directions is extremely
difficult. Elena's burr is an elegant design, and the ability to come up
with a unique solution at such high levels with simple pieces is an
achievement. I really enjoyed making and playing with this one!"

Inaccurate Burr
Eric says "
It's not easy to come up with a new variation on the traditional six
piece burr, but Juno came up with a great one! Because pairs of two
pieces are off-centered, the assembled shape of the puzzle looks
inaccurate though the pieces need to be accurate. The puzzle is based on
one of the notchable sets of a level 9 combination. Thanks to the
off-centered pieces the puzzle has unique solution and is very confusing
to assemble!
Construction of this puzzle is perf...

Loopy Burr
Eric says "The Loopy Burr came from the genius brain of Junichi; a very
unusual six piece interlocking puzzle with pieces that form three
intermingled loops once in the proper position. Finding that position
takes eleven moves, and is downright tricky due to the space caused by
the loops. Good luck!
Construction of this puzzle is outstanding, with our usual precision down to several thousandths of an inch."

Stand by Cube Four
Stand By Cube 4 is the long-awaited successor to the brilliant Stand By Cube 1,2 and 3 series by Benedetti. With the addition of SBC4, Gregory has truly outdone himself. The set of 10 pieces has one sequential assembly within the 4x4x4 cube frame. The fixed maple frame piece and bottom lip greatly complicate this task! Furthermore, the set of 10 pieces will assemble into two 3x3x3 cubes at the same time with a unique solution. Finally, a subset of the 10 piece set will assemble into a single ...
