Fidget burr was an easy decision to make. A seemingly simple 3x3 cube, it's actually a five-piece interlocking burr with a level 12 solution. Three burr pieces nest inside two identical frame pieces. The length of the sticks and small surface area for overlap at the edges makes it very difficult to construct. Eric says "IPP Burr was my IPP exchange puzzle this year. A standard six piece burr, with three extra pieces which must fit inside the six piece burr once solved. The inside pieces of course spell "IPP"! With a five move final solution, it's quite tricky but nonetheless approachable for the experienced solver. Construction of this puzzle is excellent, with a nice precise fit. We used laminated sticks to make the burr pieces which was time consuming but turned out very well."
