Boron is a moderately difficult puzzle that displays like a piece of sculpture once it's solved. The 12 pieces are made with contrasting hardwoods and precision-crafted in our North Carolina workshop. The interesting shape of this burr is what attracted me to it initially. The unique level 12 solution was also a contributing factor. Once I figured out the color scheme and put it in production I was very pleased with the result. A definite departure from your normal six piece burr, the construction sequence is tricky and non-intuitive. The finished shape is pleasingly symmetrical and displays well. Three Cubes is an award-winning design, having placed in the 2018 IPP Design Competition. The three identical pieces must be assembled to form three solid cubes. Impossible Triangle of Six Cubes is a little more impossible than the Three Cubes version, but still quite doable even for the beginner. One more piece, for a total of four, must be serially assembled to create the six cube configuration. The puzzle is quite stable once assembled, and displays very nicely. I don't normally make super high level burrs, but I found Frankenstein to be irresistible. This 18 piece burr has VERY unique pieces. Six of them are missing an end grain voxel, allowing for a unique 35 unit arrangement on each face. It's no secret that I love cube puzzles, and Andrey's "Repair the Cube" is an excellent one! Two internal pieces dance around the constraints of a truncated cage...the name asks you to position those pieces in such a way that they are contained within the cube and also repair the missing corner bits.
