Description
The "14-15 Puzzle" was one of Sam Loyd's greatest and most famous hoaxes, as the puzzle was impossible to solve! Thus, in 1934, the Borden Company ran no risk in having to award their top $2500 prize for a correct solution. However, the ten other puzzles posed with different starting positions may very well have had solutions (although I suspect that most of the starting position were isomorphic to the 15-14 starting position).
Anyway, this Thompson's Chocolate Malted Milk Puzzle (please see both photos) is a beautiful 90-YEAR-OLD advertising puzzle, UNOPENED in its original envelope, and in MINT MUSEUM QUALITY condition. (The contents shown in the second photo are from an opened version of the puzzle in my collection.)
I will ship within the US via ground advantage (first class mail) for around $6.50, or via insured priority mail from between
$9.90 and $14.25 depending on postal code, if preferred. I am happy to ship
internationally at cost (which I estimate to be around $20), but I cannot always guarantee that overseas
packages can be insured or tracked.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this antique advertising puzzle. Thank you for viewing my auction!
